Abraham Lincoln - He was the 16 president of the united states of america. was also the commander and chief of the union army. strongly for getting rid of slavery in all states he also made up the Emancipation Proclamation. many southerners disliked his views. many days after the south surrendered he was shot watching a play at fords theater by john Wilkes Booth.
Ulysses S. Grant - Was born on April 27, 1822. He was an Ohio native and worked on his family’s
farm. When grant became a young adult he departed for the US military academy
at west point. Grant spends the next four years at West Point as a cadet. Grant
graduates west point in 1843 as a second Lieutenant, finishing 21 in his class
of 39. served as a general for the union army. eventually became head of the whole thing. after the Civil war was over he became president and served two terms. He died is 1885.
Jefferson Davis - Was born in 1808. Just like grant ,he also went to west point. was a Cornell in the Spanish american war. after that he became a congress man then latter became a senator for the state of Mississippi. after the confederate states broke off he became the commander and chief of the confederate states of America. after the civil war ended he was put in prison for a short time then let go. He died in 1889.
Robert E lee - Born in 1807. lee trained at west point just like grant and Davis. fought in the Spanish american war. lee had tons of feeling toward the union and did not like savory. he was a general for the confederates. He died in 1870.
John Brown - born may 9, 1800. was an abolitionist who hated savory. He moved to Kansas when bleeding Kansas was going on to prevent it from turning into a slave state. Brown also made a statement by slaughtering some border ruffians. what hes really know for is the raid on Harper's ferry to start a slave rebellion. He was captured and hung.
